Felt making Workshops

Felt yourself something beautiful in these felt making workshops! Starting with unspun wool – there is a huge range of colours to choose from – you will make felt using soapy water, bubble wrap, towels, elbow grease and enthusiasm.

New for 2013: 'Open felt workshops'
This year at Arts Desire, many of our feltmaking workshops have a new shape. Come for the morning from 10.30 to 1.00 and learn how to make handmade felt flowers (£25), or come for the day and learn how to create your own felted hat or bag (10.30 to 4.30, £75)

Handmade Felt Flowers:

 A lovely introduction to wet felting techniques. Learn to turn unspun merino wool into beautiful felted flowers to wear in your hair or embellish your clothing.

Handmade Felt Hats:

Design and make the perfect hat for you! You will learn how to make a felt hat from unspun merino wool, using traditional wet felting techniques. Suitable for beginners, as well as the more experienced felter.

Felt Bags:

In this all day workshop you will create a beautiful and sturdy handbag from unspun merino wool, using our tried-and-tested felting process! You will also make a felt flower to adorn your bag, or clip into your hair!
